Oh I just saw a blog post about a dog chasing a mouse and it reminded me of my dream last night.
I was in a house, not mine, with the dogs. I think all six of our dogs were there. We were staying there temporarily but it wasn’t really vacation.
I was lying on this bed or recliner type thing, and saw a mouse on the upper walls, there was an area where a mouse could run. He ran by, and fell off, and got onto the floor and ran away. Well, Muffit saw this mouse and went after him. He ran through the kitchen, around the sink faucet, and then disappeared.
I thought the mouse was gone… but then Muffit brought me my treat bag container, it has a zipper and it’s square, and Muffit was all excited. Turns out, Muffit had trapped the mouse in the bag and then brought it to me! I didn’t know what to do with this mouse so I zipped up the container. Muffit seemed to want to chase it more but I didn’t want the poor mouse to get hurt.
So I put it outside in the back yard… along with another little baby mouse that had showed up. He was a slow baby mouse (though had all his fur). So I put them both outside and they were immediately pounced on by dogs that were outside!
I looked out back and there were about 18 big dogs out there of all shapes, mostly bigger dogs! I was so upset! Turns out that people figured out I did dog rescue and were dumping their unwanted dogs in my back yard. Ugh!
I do dog rescue in real life.. well, I used to. I’m stopping because I’m overwhelmed and our house is full. Anyway… this was an interesting dream. Not really bad. Not really good. Just interesting!

This is not, actually, a dream… rather it’s a sleeping position. I seemed to have had a fairly dreamless night last night. I think I did dream something, but when I woke up I didn’t remember it and so I won’t fret about my lack of remembering.
I did wake up sleeping on the edge of the bed… in fact, it was about one foot worth of bed. Okay maybe two, but not more than that. When it’s cold at night (and I like to sleep with it cool) my dogs Lucy and Levi love to press up against me and sleep there all night.
I love the contact and so I don’t move them. However, my legs tended to be asleep when I woke up this morning, which was not fun. And yes, I do sleep quite comfortably in two feet of bed space with the dogs taking up the rest of the Queen sized bed.
Maybe doing some budgeting and planning would help the dogs and I optimize bed space.. but somehow I don’t think so. The dogs like to take what they can, and usually they get away with it.

I had two dreams last night… the first one I was at dog camp with a friend of mine who has a couple border collies and does agility. What I remember now is that one of her dogs, Ryddick, got out and we couldn’t find him. Well the shelter people picked him up.. it was more a dog recovery program at camp (it was dog camp) and they waited for 20 minutes and when they didn’t find his person, they euthanized him! I was so upset. My friend, though, she wasn’t too upset LOL. It was weird.
My next dream was that I went on a cruise (I’m going in October, my first cruise) and it was a dog cruise and I had Levi and Chase with me. And the boat was small and packed, our cabin underneath was very cramped. But I was able to watch out the window at all the rocks that we zoomed by as we left the birth. We went so fast I was worried, but the pilot seemed to be able to manage just fine. The rocks in the water were huge.
When we got out to open water I ventured on deck and let Levi and Chase do what they want.. and they went off on their own. The boat was really small, then, and I was sitting in the back and getting covered in snow, we were sailing past ice bergs and it was cold. Then Chase came and found me and suddenly I was really worried that Levi had fallen overboard, as I couldn’t find him. I looked and looked and then I woke up and I was glad my dreams were over for the night.
And my neck is still just kinked and cracking, maybe I need a posture corrector to fix myself up. When I sleep I am so tense, and I clench my teeth, and I wake up so tense sometimes. But then I’m having PMS too now which makes me even more tense.
Me and the boys had a good agility day, too, which was fun. I hope I sleep well tonight!

So yesterday I got the wind about a flyball seminar that’ll be happening in Las Vegas in March. I quickly got my forms together, wrote my check, and sent it off in the mail.
It’s by Touch n Go, one of the best flyball teams in U-FLI in the country. So, I hope to bring Chase and get some good ideas on his box turn and speed.
Anyway, so of course I dreamed about it last night. I didn’t find any online coupons for the seminar in my dream, but I dreamed that it was run absolutely horribly! I am fairly certain it will be run very well and smoothly, so it’s strange about my dream.
I dreamed that we were practicing outside, and there was dog poop in the path the dog took to run to the box. And Chase would stop and sniff it, then mosey to the box with no speed or enthusiasm. I was angry that they left poop in the dog’s lane!
Then we moved inside… and there was a couple of dogs just wandering around, through the lanes, and Chase couldn’t get by them. I was just holding Chase until the dogs left. I was so mad that they let dogs wander around.
And the box loader was awful inside. She put this big huge ball on the wrong side of the box that Chase couldn’t even grab with his mouth it was too big. So finally I put him in a wait, and walked to the box and loaded it myself, then went back and released Chase. He ran beautifully and did a great job! He just needs someone organized!
LOL. Too weird that I was so frustrated with them in my dream.
When I went down to a tournament that they held, it was run very efficiently and well, so my waking belief is that the seminar will be the same.

Last night I had a dream about Tatum.. for some reason I am terrified of her getting away from me and getting hit by a car. At agility and obedience practice last Saturday she got away from me, but in a safe place. And she does come to me… though tentatively and only if I have treats. She doesn’t like her collar grabbed.
Anyway, I was at some sort of carnival and there was a large man who had accidentally let her out. Oh this was after we went to see some sort of play in a big auditorium. We went a few nights in a row, even. And sat in a different place each time. Now I think maybe I was a part of it… but not sure.
So the man accidentally let go of Tatum and she ran off. And I remember saying to him “I have never lost a dog and I am not going to lose Tatum now!” I was furious and I was hunting all over to find her. We kept missing her here and there. Finally, though, we saw her in the distance in a large baseball field. She was on the other side of the fence. And I’m not sure how, but someone caught her on the other side of the fence and pushed her over to me, where I caught her.
I remember, in the dream, thinking I was not going to let her get hit by a car in this dream. Or let her get hurt in any way. And fortunately I was able to get her back and she was safe. I was so relieved.
She is such a precious, amazing girl.
