A Dream Diary

Belgian Malinois Nationals

Last night I dreamed that I traveled to Colorado for Belgian Malinois Nationals. Last year they had Mal Nationals here in Salt Lake City… well, up in Farmington, really. And I am going to go to Colorado for USDAA agility next month. And both of these were combined into the same dream.

I dreamed that I was going in a van with some friends, which I am going to do when I go to Colorado. But looking at the premium, it was weird because actually the first two days of the agility trial were local, so I didn’t have to travel at all and my plane tickets needed to be changed. And I didn’t need any Orovo to get by.. but I may have used some!

So then I had to go to Colorado for the USDAA/Mal nationals on only one day, and I was wondering if that long of a drive was really worth it. I guess I decided that it was because I ended up going.

It was held in a barn, a strange barn that was almost like a swimming pool, a public one. And we had to wait in line to get into the arena where they were doing the agility.

After that the dream falls apart… but it was a strange one, indeed. :)

So you think a dream about a public barn pool Mal competition is weird? Only if they were playing poker.

hey! i have a mal as well… he’s so handsome and was the most adorable puppy ever… he’s about 3 years now, but sadly i wasn’t able to train him for agility and whatnot, just basic tricks and housebreaking… but to be able to participate in agility contests, we have to be extremely fit to keep up with them… and doing so is not as easy as it sounds…

Hi Eleanor.. thanks for you comment! I love mals, they can be tricky to raise, though. I’m glad your is doing well with you. Agility does take a lot of work for sure, dog and person should be pretty fit. I need to be more so than I am. :)
